Improvements being made to Thunderball

The National Lottery is making some key changes to the Thunderball draw from May including a bigger jackpot, more chances to play and a new bottom tier prize. Finally, there will be a new bottom prize of £3 for any ticket holder who matches just the Thunderball on its own.

These bonus prizes and increased jackpots don’t come for free though. Instead of selecting five numbers from 34 you now have to choose five numbers from 39. You still select one Thunderball from 14.
